⚡️WTF is $DEGEN?

  • $DEGEN is a memecoin created by @jacek0x and was launched on Farcaster in Jan'24. The idea was to create a coin which will increase activity & engagement on Farcaster by tipping each other. Simply get rewarded for engaging, participating, and contributing to the Farcaster ecosystem by posting quality content. The community liked the idea so much that it immediately blew up, and it blew up so fast that they had to stop the $DEGEN farming.
  • Now $DEGEN has become Farcaster’s real token and many project have started integrating it, like - Perl, Drakula, Bountycaster. You can also mint NFTs with $DEGEN.
  • It’s a tradable crypto - this means you can actually BUY and SELL it.

So there are three ways you can do it

  1. Swap your existing tokens on base for $DEGEN
  2. Earn for free on Farcaster

      3. You’re a singer, memer, developer or an artist, it doesn’t matter. The community rewards valuable quality content by tipping $DEGENS. Here is how it works 👇

Tipping $DEGEN aims to increase activity on Farcaster. Your ability to tip depends on how active you are. The more you engage (cast, reply, like, comment) the more you can tip each day. You need to have 10k $degen in you connected wallet to quality for the tipping allowance. You can tip as many people or times as you want everyday, up to your daily allowance. This allowance is a separate from the $DEGEN you hold. Hence, you can tip others without using up your balance. This encourages you to support other creators freely.

Tip allowance resets daily at around 1:30PM IST and DO NOT ROLL OVER. Remember, if you don't use it, you lose it! 🤷‍♂️ The window to claim $DEGEN for the next airdrop is the last day of the month on Degen.Tips
